Like a little lion
chasing its tail
so Am I
chasing my own shadow
seeking its wisdom
in the light
of my own ignorance

Hungry ghosts
I watch
the people in the world
like hungry ghosts
chasing their next meal
only to recognize
that it is empty of nature
the people in the world
like hungry ghosts
chasing their next meal
only to recognize
that it is empty of nature

Returning home
the moment we realize
that we need not
take a simple step
to return home
In this moment we are free
to Be
that we need not
take a simple step
to return home
In this moment we are free
to Be

changing seasons
A heartfelt goodbye
To my own footsteps
wearing slippers
Soon
I will be wearing heavy boots
To my own footsteps
wearing slippers
Soon
I will be wearing heavy boots
everyday Satori
suddenly i recognize
that the world
is a floating entity
empty in nature
but filled with love
that the world
is a floating entity
empty in nature
but filled with love

Where does the inspiration come from?
What inspires us to write poetry? Today I would like to ponder upon the question of poetry. sometimes I write, and sometimes I don't write. To be a poet is certainly something that one is by heart. You cannot force the words down on paper, they need to flow softly from your heart and unto the paper. Poetry has become a lost art today, the nothingness from which a poet writes have become more and more obscured. I try to tap into this no-thing-ness when I write, as it is from there all things arise, it is from this place all the great poets, Rumi, Kabir, Ryukan, Walt wittman get their inspiration.
How can we bring poetry into the hearts of people again? Fact is, we can't change the world, we can't make people do something, but we can open up their eyes a little, and this is what I am doing with this blog. This is what I am trying to do with my poems. Like the Great Lao Tzu would say, trust the Tao (the great way).
